Blinkbox, a site that streams the latest film releases on your computer, has called in Deliberate PR to build its brand recognition.

The site claims to be the UK’s fastest growing video-on-demand TV and film site with over a million unique users. It has deals with five US studios to allow a range of major releases to be instantly streamed on to computers. It also offers major BBC shows, including Top Gear and Spooks.

Deliberate PR has been asked to develop a news-focused consumer campaign to demonstrate the ease and practicality of being able to instantly stream new and classic films and TV shows. It will particularly target people using their laptops at home in the evening, and those taking lunch in front of their office computers during the day.

Deliberate PR won the brief following a three-way pitch.

The agency’s first piece of activity has been to promote the site’s latest release – The Hangover – by launching the first Twitter search for the UK’s favourite hangover cure.
