The Kent-based agency will handle all consumer PR for Kettle. The brief is to raise awareness of the crisp brand and they will work on launching the summer seasonal variety of crisps.

Phipps PR previously held on the account for four years. It retained the agency for 2008 after pitching against Munro & Forster and Consolidated (PRWeek, 15 January).

Westgate will liaise with Andrew Slamin, marketing director at Kettle Foods. Victoria Usher, director at Westgate, will be leading the account.

Kettle Chips is worth £73 million at current retail sales value.
