Global: Hardys calls in Edelman
Matt Cartmell, prweek.com, Friday, 24 August 2012, 12:00am,
Winemaker Hardys has appointed Edelman as its retained agency for the Netherlands.
Edelman will look to raise the profile and image of the Hardys brand in the Dutch market, while also leading a wider consumer press office programme.
Adam Withrington, European PR and events controller at parent company Accolade Wines, said: 'We have chosen Edelman for its international expertise and knowledge of public engagement.
'This decision is in line with our strategy to grow Hardys within mainland Europe, maximizing the opportunities we see for Hardys in the Netherlands, which is the third largest market for the brand globally.'
Hardys was established by Thomas Hardy in 1853 and its wines can now be found in more than 70 countries. It is part of the global wine company Accolade Wines, which is the top wine firm by volume in Australia and the UK.
